Fort Frances and Quetico Provincial Park

July 30th
Quiet day around the park today - too many Mosquitoes to do much. Just read and chiled out most of the day. Did go down to the info/registration office for some info, and then took a walk on a boardwalk along a short river between French Lake and Pickerel Lake, but got rained out before reaching the end. Then in evening returned to a lake Access where we took some great sunset pictures

July 29th
On the road by 9:30AM toward Fort Frances in Highway 71, and then toward Thunder Bay on Highway 11
Only planned on a couple hundred miles today so was a leisurely drive. Speed limit is 90 km/hr, and there is a fair amount of construction. Arrived Quetico Provincial Park and Ojibawa campground at 3:00PM. Registered in and set up in site #42 that we had reserved a couple of days ago. We are finding even the Prov. Parks more expensive than we had anticipated. Here for power only, we paid $41/ night. I guess it may be because of the summer timing.
