Panic City, Florida

No that's not a recognized city in Florida, but it sure was one for me for a couple of days!
End of month so time to pay bills - went to find my Master Card to get number off it to get into the banking to pay it off.
Guess what -- Can't find my credit card holder - Now it is Panic City - look everywhere to no avail
Call and email Kennedy Space Center Lost and Found to see if it has been turned in - no response so far.
Will wait until tomorow before starting to call cards to terminate .
Feb 2nd - Procastinate calling to cancel credit card until after lunch.
Got thinking about a couple of rides that we took at the Astronaut Hall of Fame, they were fairly intense, so decided to take a trip back there and ask if a credit card contained by chance had been turned in. We had limited expectations, but it was a last ditch chance, before I would cancel cards. Once there went to the reception desk and asked, and yes, it had been turned in. WHAT A RELIEF!!
She remembered it well. It had been found in the "Ride to Mars", a realistic roller coaster ride. I guess there must have been some friendly Martians there to send it back. The attendant had transferred it back to the Space Center, so we had to go there to claim it. No problem! Drove the 6 miles back and after going through security again, and to the help desk, were told that they didn't have it, but we told them to call the Hall of Fame and they would tell them what mail bag it was in. After a lengthy conversation and calls to the supervisor, they were finally able to find it. Now, I had it in my pocket again!! A person does not realize how much stress something like that puts on you until it happens. Just re-afirms the need to be able to know what cards you do have and where to cancel if necessary. Further to that, what do you do in the meantime to continue your vacation. How do you get new ones? Luckily for us, Denice has cards as well, so we could have used hers for the remainder of the trip, but in the mean time I would have been feeling rather "Naked". Anyway, a happy ending to that story!
